A ‘sitter‘ session is a photo shoot that captures the amazing stage between your baby being newborn and 1 year old, when your baby is sitting up all on their own without any help and responding with big gummy grins! It’s such a sweet age to capture as your baby will be at the stage of learning to grab their little toes, laugh at silly noises, lie on their tummy or back and give us the biggest smiles and giggles ever.
The sessions take place when your baby is aged around 6-8 months and have reached the milestone of sitting up all by themselves. You’ll already have noticed how much your baby has changed in the short time that they’ve been here, these really are short lived moments that they grow out of so fast. It’s a great opportunity to get some updated images of your baby and capture their progress within that special first year of their life! These can be used as a follow on from your newborn session, or, if you missed out on capturing the newborn stage then it’s the perfect time to capture their little personality with a Sitter Session.
The aim is to capture your baby’s natural reaction and little personality, along with all those cool new skills such as sucking their toes and blowing raspberries! We’ll have lots of gummy grins, chunky thighs and teeny toes (not to forget those cute baby botties) all captured beautifully within a comfortable setting at my Paisley studio.
I’ll provide the beautiful props and outfits to match my setups, all you have to do is bring along your baby, a little snack and drink & enjoy watching me create beautiful images of your baby. We’ll schedule the session around your baby’s nap time, and I’ll work through as many poses as your baby will let me. I’ll get down and play with your baby by making silly noises, belting out a very unflattering rendition of ‘twinkle twinkle little star’ (amongst other nursery rhymes) and you’ll have your very own front row seat to the performance!
To get the most from your session these are best booked for when your baby has reached that stage in their development where they can sit up confidently on their own but are not yet crawling, however if they are we will work with it,just be prepared for a little work out as we play a game of ‘chase the baby’!
