Why choose outdoors?

Would you like to have an outdoors photo shoot in Glasgow or surrounding areas? Thinking of having a family photo shoot but the thought of being confined to a studio scares you? Perhaps you’re worried your child won’t co-operate on the day, or stay still long enough. Then choosing a location shoot might be the answer you are looking for. The beautiful Scottish outdoors provides a stunning backdrop for family portraits, and is right on our doorstep.

Being outdoors will allow your child a bit more freedom in a natural environment and make for more candid shots. Being outdoors will make your child feel more relaxed and give a natural flow to the session. We can use logs for them to sit on, or dandelions to pick etc

What to wear?

This totally depends on the season and the sort of look you’re going for. During our consultation we will chat about what colours work well together and how to style your family in complimenting outfits. Your session can still be styled beautifully to match the season, and I’ll talk you through outfit choices. I have an ever growing collection of dresses for girls, and hats, braces etc for boys. Having an outdoor photo shoot allows us to be a little more creative and use nice blankets, jackets and boots to mix it up. I often find places like next or h&m or zara are amazing for seasonal styling. Quite often I’ll send you over ideas from these websites to give you a visual representation of clothing that works well together.

Where?

When choosing an outdoors photo shoot in Glasgow it’s important to think about your location. Do you want some stunning greenery or pretty flowers? These are all things you need to take in to consideration, and of course what season it is. When you’re booked in I’ll talk you through locations based on the time of year you’re having your photo shoot.
