Ava’s Newborn Shoot

Newborn Photographer Glasgow, Paisley, Renfrewshire.

After thinking I had left it too late to find someone for our girls newborn shoot, I had originally wanted danya to do our photographs & she managed to fit us in last minute .. I’m now so thankful she did as I have the most gorgeous pictures ever to cherish forever – I literally couldn’t choose and had to buy them all ! From start to finish danya was brilliant, so patient & professional and 100% we knew Ava was in the best hands. We were made to feel welcome & at ease the whole time and never once felt rushed. Wouldn’t go anywhere else now , can’t wait to book in Ava’s cake smash ! X

Back in May I was tagged in a post on Facebook where someone was asking for recommendations for a newborn photographer around the Paisley/Glasgow area. Kayleigh was panicking as she was due soon and thought she’d left it too late to book in but as luck would have it I was able to accommodate her! We chatted back and forth, I found out she was having a baby girl and asked her to send me some of her favourite shots of mine & what type of colour scheme she wanted so I knew beforehand what she was looking for. It was clear that Kayleigh liked pastels & pinks especially, so I setup with this in mind.

We kept in touch throughout the rest of her pregnancy and Kayleigh got in touch when her gorgeous girl Ava was born! We arranged the session for when Ava was just 7 days old. She was the perfect little model for her shoot! Not a peep or a squeak out of her, in fact I don’t even think I saw her open her eyes?

During the session Ava’s parents and I were chatting away and I discovered they had a pet dog who was Tom’s (Ava’s Daddy) first ‘baby‘. So, I suggested we get him in for a picture as he’s part of the family too, right? Towards the end of the session Kayleigh went to collect Hugo from their dog sitter and brought him to the studio to join them. For safety reasons I shot a picture of Ava on her own and Hugo on his own then merged them in photoshop creating a composite image of Hugo & Ava together!

As always we finished off with some beautiful parent shots. It always makes me so happy when parents are happy to get in front of the camera and capture these early days. I know only too well what it’s like to not have pictures to look back on from such a special time (but that’s another blog all together!). I always remind people that these pictures aren’t just for you, but they’re for your children when they grow up. They’ll want to look back and see what you were like when they were first born. And no matter how you feel about yourself now, you too will one day want to look back and see them, trust me.
